AutoCAD is the most popular software in Autodesk company than other. I have been using this software since 2018, and it's beneficial for me to boost my career in the design field. The best part of this software we can do any area of work related to the engineering field. In AutoCAD software, we can draw 2D and 3D drawings, create mechanical jobs, developing drafting drawing for floor plans. It has a feature for drafting like line, circle, rectangle, offset, and many more commands. Also, there are many shortcuts available in this software like trim, move, copy, etc., making it significantly easier to create drawings.

Cons

When we are working on heavy files and 3D drawings, it is tough to face this situation because of hanging problem occured. So I would like to inform you have to improve in 3D illustration and handling heavy files.

It's a primary software which must be available with every design Department, every design engineer must have a habit to draw concepts and Autocad is always best for it..

Everything that can be used as a command that I like best, specially copy command, move command, stretch command..

Cons

3d interface i don't like, it must be upgraded as per other design software's, also not like that they are removed Autocad Classic workspace from 2015 and Higher version..

Great software with some fatal errors

AutoCAD helps solve the problem of time when it comes to designing solutions for a project. The ability to automate a significant portion of work all the way from importing survey data to design wastewater piping networks significantly reduces the time it takes to create a set of plans. This allows the engineer to focus more on checking their work and testing solution alternatives.

Pros

The software is extremely powerful for creating and rendering complex drawings in 3D. Nearly every aspect of the user interface is customizable to the preferences of the drafter. AutoCAD also has powerful features to help with multiple aspects of creating a set of plans. The ability to add add-ins to the program provides even more features such as piping libraries, detail managers, etc.

Cons

Unfortunately, AutoCAD can be very buggy at times, especially when dealing with large drawing files. Even with hardware within the recommended specifications moving within a drawing can take minutes much less attempting to edit. AutoCAD also seems to lack organizational features like a detail manager, and requires users to pay for a 3rd party add-in. One of the biggest issues I've encountered is when I plot a sheet set. When plotting over 5-10 sheets, AutoCAD delivers a fatal error and requires the entire application to shut down. The problem also exists when creating hatches inside a drawing.

Great CAD Program

This program is super helpful to be able to quickly place and measure components and line designs rather than worrying about human errors. I highly recommend this program and feel that it is an absolute necessity within the manufacturing and engineering fields as it seems that almost every large corporation has moved towards this program and is choosing to move forward with this program for future projects.

Pros

I love how intuitive it is and super easy to use! I was able to learn this program throughout my college career and it has been very helpful in my professional career as well! I feel that this is now an industry standard as I have seen most clients using this program and emphasizing the use of it throughout projects.

Cons

There are confusions that occur with view ports when edits are conducted by not properly communicated while being reviewed. I also wish that all CAD programs were more similar as I am using a few different ones from time and time and not all features are identical. There are quite a few different settings that I have noticed are different dependent on the computer that I have used but I have not been able to find the exact changes necessary to make the program more user friendly.

Review of Autocad

One can easily share or upload the autocad Design file with multiple people. Autocad allows a user to create technical drawings very quickly that are easy to understand and relay information clearly

Pros

This is one of the best software for preparing engineering drawings. A best tool for civil engineer. It's has so many features that even many architecture are using this tool for preparing drawings for their clients.

Cons

It's bit difficult for 3D module. It's bit costly. Unable to run live simulation. Software doesn't have ability of generating reports as it's lack in analysing power like in tekla, inventor etc.
